Then continue to Willie Creek Pearls at Elizabeth Quay, overlooking the Swan River, to discover the remarkable journey of the Australian South Sea pearl grown in the pristine waters of northern Western Australia. 

A world-record golden beginning 

Step inside The Perth Mint, the world oldest operating mint and home to the world's largest gold coin. 

The enormous version of the admired Australian Kangaroo series is crafted from 99.99% pure gold with a value of over $150 million. Along with extraordinary gold nuggets, historic coins, and some of the most famous medals, guests can even hold a solid gold bullion bar worth more than $1.5 million. 

Witness a live gold pour 

Be dazzled by gold in its most dramatic form as your guide demonstrates a live gold pour, transforming molten gold into a gleaming solid bar right before your eyes.

Discover the story of the Australian South Sea pearl 

Step into the fascinating world of Australian South Sea pearls at Willie Creek Pearls, Elizabeth Quay. From the heart of Perth, discover the journey from shell to showroom—a remarkable story that begins thousands of kilometers north in Broome, where pearls are cultivated in the pristine waters of the Kimberley coast.

Witness a live pearl harvest 

Experience the rare moment of harvesting a pearl directly from its oyster. 

Your guide will reveal a beautiful Australian South Sea pearl from Broome, demonstrating the remarkable natural process that creates one of nature’s most extraordinary gems. 

Optional Collector’s Set 

Guests may choose to add the Treasures of WA Collector’s Set when booking this experience. 

At The Perth Mint, you will receive a specially designed medallion — the first piece in the collection — which can be personalised with your name. 

Continuing on to Willie Creek Pearls, guests who received the bespoke medallion will receive a Keshi pearl presented in a small glass bottle, completing the set and taking home both treasures of Western Australia: gold and pearls.

9:30am - The Perth Mint Gold Tour 
10:30am - Gold Tour concludes. Travel to Willie Creek Pearls 
12:00pm - Willie Creek Pearls Live Pearl Harvest 
1:00pm - Experience concludes
